Weekends Come & Go

Big Boy
08/15/08
First time in his booster seat. For those of you concerned for his safety, his seatbelt had not been adjusted yet. =)

Saturday morning we headed back to San Antonio for the weekend to be with the Cox's. That evening they took us downtown to a hip restaurant (yet suitable for kids too) with an awesome menu. We had a great night with the Cox's and their kids.

Sunday morning we had an awesome service at Crossing Point. I sang, Jonathan preached, and Caleb played (haha). We had a great altar service. Crossing Point is a very friendly church and we were blessed to be there.

After service we, and some other young couples, went to a nice restaurant. The weather was cool enough for us to sit outside on the patio, which worked out GREAT for the kids since the food took so long. Here are the boys playing beside the patio at the restaurant. They're pirates looking for buried treasure.

Yay! We found buried treasure! (ants and rocks under some leaves that they dug into with their sticks)

And if you think this looks like a big piece of cake in the pic, you should have seen it in person. Wowzers! And it was sooooo SWEET! This slice was 4.5-5" wide and probably 6" high. Sugar rush for the drive home!

We left San Antonio after 4pm. It was a great trip. The Cox's REALLY know how to treat their guests.

And this is me being bored in the car on the drive home.

We're already gearing up for another weekend. This Sunday we'll be in service at a church here in the Houston area. Stay tuned for more updates!
